Description
Vine Cottage is a house dating from the mid-18th century, with a 20th-century extension. It is built from colourwashed limestone rubble with some brick detailing and has an old plain-tile roof featuring brick gable stacks. The cottage has a two-unit plan that extends to the rear and stands two storeys high. The front has a regular three-window arrangement with a brick dentil eaves course. There is a four-panel door beneath a single-light casement, flanked by two-light casements in the outer bays. All windows feature brick quoins and segmental arches, with the ground floor windows having early 19th-century cast-iron Gothick casements. To the right, there is a brick outshut at the rear, and to the left, a two-storey rear extension. The interior has not been inspected.
