Description
This building, located at 12 Market Place in Wallingford, was originally a house but is now used as an office by Adkin, Chartered Surveyors, Auctioneers, and Estate Agents. It dates from the mid-18th century and has undergone some alterations in the 20th century. The ground floor features lined render on brick, while the first floor is made of grey brick with red brick dressings. The roof is covered with plain tiles, and there is a brick stack at the right end of the building.
The structure is two stories high and has a two-window range. On the ground floor, there is a six-panel door with a decorative fanlight and a rendered plain surround that includes a keystone to the left. To the right, there is a 20th-century shop window. The first floor features two four-pane unhorned sash windows with cambered brick heads. A dentil course runs along the eaves. The interior has not been inspected. This building is included for its group value with other structures in the area.
