Description
Slade, Son and Taylor, Solicitors is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the mid-17th century and has undergone alterations in the 19th century. The building is roughcast, likely over timber framing, and features an old plain-tile roof. It has two storeys and an attic, with a three-window range positioned at right angles to the street. The street-facing side includes a 16-pane horned sash window at the center of the ground floor and another 16-pane horned sash window at the center of the first floor. There is a 12-pane unhorned sash window in the attic gable end, and the left side has irregular window placement. Inside, the building is noted for its chamfered spine beams on both the ground and first floors.
