Description

This is a 17th-century building with 19th and 20th-century alterations, originally shops with living quarters above. It is located in St Martin’s Street, Wallingford. The building has a roughcast finish to the plinth and ground floor, likely over brick, and render, probably on timber framing, to the first floor. The roof is covered in plain tiles, hipped on the right side, with a brick stack located to the left of the centre. The building has two storeys and a four-window front. A 20th-century glazed door is centrally located, with a 20th-century shop front to the left. To the right of centre is a 20th-century glazed door alongside 20th-century shop windows. The first floor has four-pane horned sash windows, with the exception of a 16-pane unhorned sash to the right. Chamfered spine beams are present on the ground floor.
