Description

This building, located at 10 Thames Street, is a house that has been converted into offices. It dates from the early 18th century and has 19th-century additions. The exterior features brown and blue brick headers, which were once colourwashed, and a plain tiled roof that is partly hidden by a stone-coped parapet. The structure is two storeys high with attics, featuring two casement dormers. There is a ridge stack on the left and a rear stack on the right.

The façade includes giant end pilaster piers and a gauged brick plat band above the ground floor. A brick dentilled and moulded cornice runs along the base of the parapet. On the first floor, there are three 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows, and three decorative bosses are visible at the ends of the iron ties on this floor. The ground floor has two windows beneath gauged brick heads. The central entrance door consists of six fielded panels and is framed by a wooden Doric pilaster surround with an entablature above.

To the left, there is a two-storey range with an end stack, featuring a cambered-head 19th-century sash window on the first floor and an angle bay window on the ground floor, which has stone-dressed chamfered mullions and divides. Above this bay window is a patterned slate roof.
