Description

These are two cottages, dating back to the 18th century, although with later alterations. The front is colourwashed brick from the 19th century, built on an earlier core, and has a plain tiled roof with a hipped section to the right. The cottages are two storeys high, with a parapet and a square brick stack to the right, and a smaller stack to the left. A terracotta beak head corbel band runs along the bottom of the stone-coped parapet. The left-hand side has a small, original 8-pane sash window beneath a cambered head on the first floor, and a 12-pane sash window from the 20th century to the right. A half-glazed door is situated to the left, sheltered by a pentice hood supported on braces. On the right-hand side are two shuttered 12-pane glazing-bar sash windows on each floor. A ribbed 20th-century door can be found in the return front, also under a pentice.
