Description
Rosehill is a house that has been converted into offices. It was originally built in the mid-18th century and has had extensive additions made in the 19th and 20th centuries. The building is constructed of brick and features a plain tile mansard roof with two ridge stacks on the left and an end stack on the right. It stands two storeys high with an attic beneath gabled dormers and has blocked windows in the basement.
The facade has five bays, with glazing bar sash windows that have rubbed and gauged heads above and rubbed brick aprons below. There are giant angle pilasters that support a dentil cornice and a pulvinated frieze, with a stone-capped parapet above that partly conceals the roof. To the left, the 19th-century additions are in a similar style but include a rounded projecting entrance bay and a stone balustrade over a dentilled pediment. The 20th-century extensions to the right and at the rear are not included in this description.
