Description
Walnut Tree Cottage and the attached barn are a house and barn dating from the late 17th century. The cottage features a painted brick base, large timber framing with angle braces on the first floor, and painted brick infill. It has a thatched half-hipped roof with a brick stack at the center. The building has a two-unit plan and is two stories high with a two-bay range positioned at right angles to the street. There is a 20th-century glazed door on the right side and a three-light metal casement window on the left. A swept half-dormer is located on the first floor to the left, and there are additional three-light metal casement windows on both the ground and first floors of the right return. The interior has not been inspected. The attached barn, which shares the same roof, is clad in weatherboarding, likely on timber framing.
