Description

Manor Cottage is a house dating from the late 17th century, with a brick facade added in the early 19th century. The left side of the building features large timber framing with brick infill, constructed in a Flemish bond pattern using red bricks with grey brick headers. The roof is thatched and half-hipped to the left, with brick ridge stacks positioned centrally and to the left of centre. The house is a single storey with an attic, and has a two-window front. A plank door with a segmental brick arch is located centrally, with another plank door and a single-light casement window to the left. Three-light casement windows, each with a segmental brick head, are present to the left of centre and to the right. Swept dormers light the attic space. The rear and return sides exhibit large timber framing. The gable end to the right is rendered, likely covering the timber frame. An internal inspection has not been carried out.
