Description

This is a barn dating from the 18th century, with 20th-century repairs. It is constructed from coursed limestone rubble and features a steeply pitched corrugated-asbestos roof. The barn has five bays and includes a central threshing floor, which is accessed through plank doors with a wooden lintel. A pole for securing the doors and cratch boards is still present. There are slit and square ventilation holes throughout the structure. Inside, the barn has a butt-purlin roof supported by principal and common rafters, along with collar and tie beams.
