Description
Home Farmhouse is a farmhouse dating from the early to mid 17th century, with extensions added in the 18th and 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed squared limestone with ashlar dressings and features an old plain-tile roof with rebuilt brick gable stacks. The building has a three-unit plan with added rear outshuts and stands two storeys tall.
The front of the house has three windows; on the first floor, there are two-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned windows. The ground floor features similar windows in the outer bays, which originally had three lights but have been converted to two-light casements, and the centre bay has two later door openings, one of which now contains a casement window. The gable ends of the farmhouse have massive chimney projections. The interior has not been inspected.
