Description

Yew Tree Cottage is a house that likely dates back to the 17th century and was extended in the 20th century. It is built from regular coursed ironstone rubble and has a 20th-century tile roof. The cottage features two rendered end stacks and has a two-unit plan with a single storey plus an attic. The front has a two-window range, with a central doorway flanked by two three-light casement windows that have wooden lintels. There are also two three-light casements in the attic. At the rear, there is a 20th-century extension. Inside, the cottage includes a stop-chamfered beam and a chamfered bressumer above the fireplace.
