Description
The lodge to Bodicote House is a 19th-century building constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble. It features a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses and has a stone ridge stack. The lodge is designed in a T-plan and consists of a single storey plus an attic. The gabled entrance bay includes a plank door with a pedimented hood. To the left of the entrance, there is a 2-light window with a hood mould and label stops. The attic has a 2-light stone mullioned window with a hood mould and label stops. The rear part of the lodge features mostly 3- and 4-light stone mullioned windows, all with hood moulds and label stops. The building is adorned with stone copings and stone kneelers, and it has ironstone quoins. The interior has not been inspected.
