Description
The lodge at Broughton Castle, built around 1840, is constructed from regularly coursed ironstone rubble and features a stone slate roof laid in diminishing courses. It has a T-plan layout and is a single storey plus attic. The gabled porch includes a three-centred doorway with a hood mould. Most of the windows are two-light stone mullioned with hood moulds and label stops, found on both the ground floor and the attic. The building is adorned with stone copings and moulded stone kneelers, and it remains unaltered. The interior has not been inspected.
