Description
Church View is a house dating from the 17th century, with later alterations. It is constructed of coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched asbestos tile roof, along with brick ridge and end stacks. The building is designed in an L-plan and has two storeys with a three-window range. There are two entrances, both with plank doors and painted wood lintels; one entrance is approximately central, while the other is located in a single-storey outshot with a raking roof on the right gable. The entrance is flanked by renewed three-light casement windows, also with painted wood lintels. On the first floor, there is one single and two three-light similar windows, as well as a blocked window with painted wood lintels. The interior is said to have beams, although it has not been inspected. Church View forms part of a group with Manor Farmhouse.
