Description
Holly Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations and additions from the 18th century and later. It is constructed from coursed ironstone rubble and squared coursed ironstone, topped with an asbestos-tile roof and features renewed brick ridge stacks. The house has a 2-unit plan that has been extended to a 3-unit layout and stands two storeys high with a total of three windows across the front. The entrance on the left has a 20th-century door and hood, with renewed windows on either side of the door, all featuring wood lintels. To the right, there is a wide 20th-century window. On the first floor, there are two 2-light windows with metal casements and wrought-iron fasteners, along with a 20th-century window, all also with wood lintels. A fire plaque is located above the door. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage is included for its group value.
