Description

Stickleys House is a house dating to the 17th century, with later additions and alterations. It is built of squared coursed ironstone and has a steeply pitched stone slate roof laid to diminishing courses, with stone end stacks and a brick ridge stack. The gables are stone coped with moulded kneelers. The house is oriented with a gable end facing the road and is arranged in three units, with an additional section forming a roughly L-shaped plan. It has two storeys plus an attic. The entrance features a 20th-century porch and a plank door. The right end of the facade has three-light metal casements in wooden frames to both the ground and first floors, as well as a two-light casement in the attic. Original features include wrought-iron casement fasteners, springs, lead cames, and wooden lintels. The left side of the house has 20th-century windows and two half-dormers. The interior has not been inspected.
