Description
This building is a barn and stable range, located approximately 10 meters east of The Leadenporch House. It is likely from the 17th century and was altered in the 19th century. The structure is made of coursed squared marlstone with 19th-century brick dressings and has a thatched roof. It consists of a single range with seven bays. The front features two large openings, two smaller doors, three windows, and a loft door, all adorned with brick dressings, while the smaller openings have segmental arches. Inside, the three bays on the left, which were used as stables, have collar trusses with the principals crossed at the apex supporting a ridge beam, while the remaining bays have tiebeam trusses. This building is included for its group value.
