Description
Berwick House is a substantial house that dates partly from the 17th century and was likely altered in the 18th century. It is constructed of squared coursed marlstone and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick stacks. The building has a four-unit plan arranged in three sections and stands two storeys high. The front has four windows, with a 17th-century chamfered plinth on the first and second bays. The ground floor has casement windows with three, four, two, and lights, while the first floor has windows with three, three, two, and three lights, all of which have been renewed with 20th-century ashlar flat arches. A window in the third bay has replaced a doorway. The roof has a moderate pitch and includes stacks to the left of the third bay and at both ends. The interior has not been inspected but is noted to contain open fireplaces. The house is included for its group value.
