Description
Coniston House is a shop and dwelling built in the late 18th century or early 19th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond, featuring rubbed-brick arches, and has a Welsh-slate roof with brick end stacks. The building consists of a front range and a rear wing, which was likely subdivided in the past. It stands three storeys tall with a three-window front, characterized by a toothed eaves course and distinctive three-course storeybands made of rusticated bricks. The upper floors have 12-pane sash windows, while the ground floor includes two 4-panel doors with ornamental fanlights, two 16-pane sash windows (one of which has an inserted lintel), and a small shop window. The roof has a shallow pitch, and the wing extends from the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
