Description
This house, located 25 meters southwest of Proffitt's House, dates from the early 18th century and has undergone some 20th-century alterations. It is constructed of squared coursed ironstone and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with brick end stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high, with a two-window range.
Access to the entrance is via stone steps, leading to a 20th-century door with a wooden lintel. The entrance is flanked by a three-light metal casement window and another 20th-century window. There is an additional three-light metal casement window on the far left. On the first floor, there are two three-light metal casements set in wooden frames, with wooden lintels throughout. The windows are fitted with wrought-iron casement fasteners and springs.
To the left, there is a two-storey lower section that includes a 20th-century garage, with a three-light wooden casement window above it. Inside, the house features a wooden winder stair, an inglenook fireplace, a plank door, and stop-chamfered beams.
