Description

Squirrel's Drey is a building that was originally a forge and is now used as a shop. It dates from the mid-18th century and is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a concrete tile roof that is hipped to the left and gabled with a 19th-century brick stack on the right. The building has a one-unit plan and is a single storey with a one-window range. It features timber lintels above 20th-century stable doors on the left and a 20th-century three-light casement window on the right. Inside, there is a collar-truss roof with butt purlins. This building is included for its group value.
