Description
Village Farmhouse is a farmhouse that dates from the early 17th century for the left bay and is mostly from the late 17th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled concrete tile roof, with brick ridge and end stacks on the right and left, and an end stack made of stone finished in 20th-century brick. The building has been extended to create a three-unit plan and is two storeys high with a three-window range. There is a gabled 20th-century roughcast porch. The left side has stop-chamfered timber lintels, while the right side features a flat stone arch and timber lintels above 20th-century casements. The centre bay is gabled. Inside, there is a chamfered roll-stopped beam on the left and restored chamfered beams throughout. The interior also includes mid-19th century panelled doors, winder stairs in the centre, and a 17th-century ribbed door in the attic.
