Description

This is an 18th-century house with alterations from the late 19th century, located on Islip Road in Blechingdon. The house is built of colourwashed limestone rubble with late 19th-century brick dressings, and has a gabled concrete tile roof, with brick ridge and end stacks. It is two storeys high and has a four-window front. The right-hand two windows feature segmental brick arches above a central plank door with an overlight and a bracketed hood. Above the door are similar brick arches over late 19th-century sash windows with three panes. There are timber lintels over 20th-century casements and a larger late 19th-century window with glazing bars. A 20th-century extension has been added to the rear. The interior has not been inspected. Attached to the right is an outbuilding of similar materials with a half-hipped roof and a central through-entry. Stone steps lead to a loft located to the left of the through-entry. The building is included in the listing for its group value.
