Description
Laurel Farmhouse is a farmhouse, now a house, dating from the mid-18th century. The front eaves were raised in the early 19th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled Welsh slate roof, with a late 19th-century brick ridge stack and end stacks made of stone finished in brick. The building has an L-plan with a rear right wing and is two storeys high, with a three-window range. There is a timber lintel above the central early 19th-century six-panelled door, and timber lintels over early 19th-century sash windows that have glazing bars. The house also includes 20th-century gabled roof dormers. A stair-turret adjoins the rear wing, which has early 19th-century eight-pane sash windows to the left. The interior has not been inspected but is likely to be of interest.
