Description

The Post Office Stores and Number 1, Weston Road are two early to mid-18th century houses, now used as two houses and a shop. The building is constructed of coursed limestone rubble with a gabled concrete tile roof, and a brick stack at the left end. The plan is based on three units. The building is two storeys high with an attic, and has a four-window front. It features rendered architraves to a 20th-century door and a bow window on the left side, and a late 19th-century door with a gabled hood to the right centre. Timber lintels are above 20th-century windows. There are three gabled dormers in the roof. Inside the Post Office Stores, there are chamfered beams. The building is included on the list for its group value.
