Description

This is a barn located approximately 14 metres west of Merton Garth, dating from the late 17th century with some alterations made in the early 19th century. The structure is built from coursed limestone rubble and features a gabled shingle roof with moulded caps at the stone coping. It has a three-bay plan that includes a central threshing floor. Inside, there is a four-bay collar-truss roof supported by butt purlins.
