Description
This barn, located approximately 30 meters north of Ashgrove Farmhouse, dates from the early to mid-18th century. It is constructed of coursed limestone rubble and features wooden lintels, topped with a corrugated-sheet roof. The barn has a six-bay plan, with full-height doors in the third bay. The other bays contain blocked slits, and there is a blocked lower doorway in the fifth bay. A pitching door is present in the right gable, and both gables have triangular vents. The first bay and both end walls include small inserted doorways. Inside, the trusses have tie beams and collars, supporting two rows of butt purlins.
