Description

Farmhouse. It likely dates from the late 17th century, with alterations carried out around 1800. The farmhouse is constructed from limestone rubble with wooden lintels, and has a Welsh-slate roof with gable stacks built of rubble and brick, each featuring two diagonal brick shafts. The building is arranged in a ā€˜L’ shape. The two-storey front has a three-window arrangement, featuring 12-pane sashes, except in the outer bays at ground floor level where tripartite sashes are present. A four-panel door with an overlight is positioned between the first and second bays. The steep-pitched roof has gable stacks. A short rear wing extends from the left side, and is further extended by a lower section. The interior has not been inspected. Fewcott was formerly part of the parish of Stoke Lyne.
