Description

Easter Cottage, Fuchsia Cottage, Middle Cottage, Thatched Cottage, and Thatchover form a terrace of five cottages, originally six, dating from the mid to late 18th century. They are constructed from limestone rubble with some squared dressings and feature thatched roofs with rubble and brick stacks. The cottages have double-depth plans, are one storey plus an attic, and each has a doorway and a three-light casement window, both topped with segmental arches, along with a three-light half dormer. While all original casements remain, three doorways now have two-light casements. The position of the doorways alternates, and the cottages share three large stacks. The rear of the cottages has additional doorways and old casements. The interiors have not been inspected. These cottages were likely built for the estate workers of the Earls of Jersey.
