Description
This barn, located approximately 30 metres southeast of Ashcroft Farmhouse, dates from the 17th century and has alterations from the late 18th to early 19th centuries. It is constructed of coursed millstone grit and features a stone slate roof. The barn consists of three bays and has a recessed cart entrance. To the left, there are two doorways with chamfered stone surrounds, one featuring a Tudor-arched lintel. An outshut to the right includes a doorway with a chamfered stone surround on its left return. The barn also has slit vents, including one that is round-headed, as well as shaped kneelers and other coping details.
