Description

This barn, located 50 meters north of Glebe Farmhouse, dates from the mid-18th century. It is constructed from coursed, rough-faced rubble Doulting stone with ashlar quoins and features a clay pantile roof with coped gables and finials. The barn has five bays and includes off-center, full-height double doors, with the right-hand door being halved and set under a square timber lintel. High-level ventilation slits are present on either side and in the rear elevation. There is also a vertical boarded loft access door set in ashlar quoins under a timber lintel. The interior contains four "A"-frame trusses with collars and two rows of purlins.
