Description

Lavender Cottage is a house that dates from the 18th century or earlier. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble and features a steeply pitched thatched roof with two brick stacks at the ends. The building has a two-unit plan and is a single storey plus attic, with a three-window range.

The front includes a small two-light metal casement window set within an original wood mullioned window. There is a 20th-century porch, and to the right, there are three wooden casements with wood lintels. In the attic, there is a three-light metal casement window in a wooden frame, complete with lead cames, wrought iron casement fasteners, and crown glass. To the right of this window, there are two similar two-light windows, all of which have wooden lintels.
