Description

Sand's House is a house dating from the 18th century. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof and two brick end stacks on stone bases. The building has a 2-unit plan extending over two storeys. The front features a central 20th-century door with a wooden lintel, flanked by two 3-light casement windows with wooden lintels. Three 3-light wood mullioned windows are on the first floor, all with wooden lintels. The rear elevation has wood mullioned windows fitted with wrought iron casement fasteners. The interior includes stop-chamfered spine beams with run-out stops, stone flag floors, panelled doors and panelling.
