Description

No. 18 Market Square is a shop and dwelling from the 18th century. It features rendered walls, likely built with a timber frame, and has an old plain-tile roof. The building has a gable-fronted plan and stands three storeys tall. The narrow front displays 9-pane flush sash windows on the first and second floors. The 19th-century shop front includes arched lights and circular mullions that create a canted bay window, along with a matching door. Flanking fluted pilasters, carved brackets, and a narrow canopy form a small balcony. A low parapet wraps around the hipped roof. The interior has not been inspected.
