Description
No. 3 Bridge Street is a shop and dwelling with an 18th-century front, likely built around an earlier core. The building features painted brick and a slate roof that has a steeper pitch at the rear, along with a brick end stack at the front. It stands three storeys tall and has a two-window range, with 20th-century 6/6 sash windows under gauged brick flat arches and 3/6 sashes above. The eaves are adorned with brick modillions. The 18th-century shopfront includes a central half-glazed 20th-century door with a plain overlight, flanked by fluted pilasters and bow windows with glazing bars; the hood above has been altered in the 20th century. The left side of the building is rendered, with weatherboarding at the rear, supported by a massive purlin.
