Description
No. 54 High Street is a shop and dwelling dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. The building is constructed from coursed dressed stone and features timber framing, stick-framing, and plaster. It has a steep-pitched Welsh slate roof with a gable at the front. The structure comprises three storeys, an attic, and a cellar, with a single window range. The first and second floors have 20th-century two-light casements with clerestory lights, set in a moulded case, and there are moulded wood eaves. The gable features a 20th-century three-light casement. The entrance includes an early 20th-century half-glazed door with an overlight, alongside an early 20th-century shopfront. On the left side, there are two similar windows on each floor, with a matching window in the gable and a 20th-century shop window.
