Description

No. 6 York Street is a shop building from the 18th century, which was altered in the mid-19th century. The exterior is rendered and features a slate roof. The building has two storeys and an attic, with a plinth and parapet. There are two flat-roofed dormers and a chimney stack on the left end. The first floor has two sash windows, while the left side has a plate glass shop front with a half-glazed corner door. To the right, there is a half-glazed panelled door set in a keyed and moulded semi-circular surround. The rear elevations are irregular and show signs of an earlier 18th-century structure.
