Description
No 10 York Street is a restaurant that dates from the early 19th century, with 18th-century rear wings. The building is constructed of painted brick and features tile hung return elevations. It has a plain tiled roof and stands three storeys high with a basement. The structure includes a plinth and a modillion eaves cornice at the parapet, with chimney stacks located at the rear left and right.
On the second floor, there are three sash windows, while the first floor has two bow windows with tripartite glazing bar sashes and a central sash window. The ground floor features a plate glass shop front with a recessed central glazed door, topped by a fascia supported on heavy brackets. There is a basement opening on the left side, and at the far left end, a round-headed doorway has been converted into a window, with an integral footscraper located to its right.
