Description

Corner Cottage is a small house, likely dating from the 17th century with alterations in the 18th century. It is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels, and has a concrete plain-tile roof. The house follows a two-unit lobby-entry plan, represented by two distinct builds. It is two storeys high. The front elevation features two two-light windows at the first floor, and two- and three-light windows on the ground floor, all with 18th-century casements. The entrance is located on the extreme left. A steep-pitched roof has a rubble-based chimney stack set slightly in from the left gable. The interior was not inspected, but likely contains a large chimneybreast to the left.
