Description
Kayleh Cottage is a small house that likely dates from the 16th or early 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed from coursed squared marlstone and features wooden lintels, topped with a thatched roof that has stone-and-brick gable stacks. The building has a two-unit plan and stands one storey plus an attic, which has been raised to two storeys. The front facade has two windows, with three-light 18th-century casements on the ground floor and a smaller renewed casement on the first floor. To the right of the centre is a four-panel door, and to the left, there is a blocked doorway that has a Tudor-arched stone head. The steep-pitched roof is raised at the eaves. The interior has not been inspected.
