Description

The Cottage is a house, likely dating from the 17th century. It is constructed from coursed marlstone rubble with replacement wooden lintels, and has a thatched roof with brick end stacks. The building originally comprised three units, and was later subdivided. It has two storeys and an attic. The irregular front elevation features two entrances, five casement windows on the ground floor, and three first-floor windows, all dating from the 20th century. The steep-pitched roof is punctuated by a 20th-century dormer, positioned above an apron of slate. The interior has not been inspected.
