Description

Old Thatch is a house dating from the 17th century, constructed from coursed squared marlstone with a thatched roof featuring limestone-ashlar and brick stacks. It has a two-unit plan with an end outshut and is one storey plus an attic. The front elevation has two windows and a plank door located to the right of centre, positioned between three-light ovolo-moulded stone-mullioned windows that have labels and leaded glazing. Above, there are two-light half-dormer leaded casements, one of which has lattice lights. The roof sweeps down over the outshut to the left, with stacks flanking the main roof. At the rear, there is another ovolo-moulded mullioned window along with small casements and a semi-circular stair projection. The interior has not been inspected.
