Description
25 The Green is a small house dating from the late 17th century to early 18th century, which was re-modelled in the early 19th century. It is constructed of marlstone rubble with some ashlar dressings and features a thatch roof with an ashlar stack. The building has a two-unit plan and is two storeys high. The front has two windows and a doorway located to the right of centre, which features a plank door in a chamfered basket-arched surround beneath a label with carved lozenge stops. The flanking windows are three-light casements with chamfered stone surrounds and labels. There are also two three-light casements on the first floor. All windows have lattice glazing, and the decorative features are likely from the early 19th century. The interior has not been inspected.
