Description

Osborne Cottage is a small house dating from the mid to late 18th century, likely with earlier origins. It is constructed of coursed squared marlstone with wooden lintels and features a Welsh-slate roof with a brick end stack. The house has a two-unit plan and stands two storeys high. The symmetrical front has two windows and has been updated with 12-pane sash windows, but it still retains a well-preserved 18th-century fielded six-panel door and a moulded flat canopy supported by scrolled brackets. The roof is steeply pitched. The interior has not been inspected. The cottage may have originally been linked to Osborne House, which is located to the right and shares similar architectural details. This building is included for its group value.
