Description
Osborne House is a house from the mid-18th century, likely with earlier origins, and it was altered in the late 18th century. The building is constructed from coursed squared marlstone with some ashlar dressings and features a Welsh-slate roof with brick end stacks. It has an L-shaped plan and stands two storeys tall. The front has four windows, which contain renewed 16-pane sashes set beneath flat arches. The entrance is located in the third bay, positioned within the remains of a depressed-arched carriage entry that features large ashlar voussoirs. The entrance includes a six-panel door and a moulded flat canopy supported by scrolled brackets, both likely from the 18th century but possibly reset in the late 18th century. To the right of the doorway, there is a taller window beneath a wooden lintel, which is probably also a late 18th-century alteration. The roof is steeply pitched, and there is a long rear wing that extends from the left side. The interior has not been inspected.
