Description
The Corner House is a substantial house dating from the late 18th century. It is constructed of brick in Flemish bond with ashlar dressings, and features squared coursed marlstone with wooden lintels. The roof is made of Welsh slate and has brick gable stacks. The building likely has a central-stair plan with two rear wings. It stands two storeys high and has a symmetrical three-window brick front, which includes a limestone storey band and marlstone quoins. The central entrance features a six-panel door, flanked by sixteen-pane sash windows, all adorned with painted ashlar flat arches. The end walls, the rear, and the two rear wings of unequal length are made of stone and also have additional sash windows. The roofs have a moderate pitch and are topped with stone gable parapets. The interior has not been inspected.
