Description

This is a house, now part shop, likely dating from the 18th century and remodelled in the 19th century. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof and stone coping on the right side. The building is two storeys plus an attic, with a single window on each floor. The right-hand entrance features a panelled door, a wooden doorcase, and a wooden lintel. A 20th-century shop window is on the left, incorporating glazing bars and a wooden lintel. The first floor has a three-light wooden mullioned and transomed window. The attic floor contains two two-light casement windows. A wall runs along the right side, built of squared, coursed ironstone blocks with stone coping that sweeps upwards towards the right. A square ironstone pier adjoins the wall. Inside, there are chamfered beams and joists. The building is included on the list for its group value.
