Description
Collier, Bigwood and Bewlay is a house, now used as an office, built in the late 19th century. It is constructed of limestone and features a hipped slate roof with two stone end stacks. The building has three storeys and a four-window range. The main elevation facing Horse Fair includes an open pedimented bay on the right. The entrance is located on the left and has a doorcase adorned with a cornice and floral decoration. To the left of the entrance is a sash window with a shell cornice and console, while to the right is a tri-partite sash window, also with a shell cornice and console. On the first floor, there are four sash windows that have moulded stone surrounds and cambered heads. The third floor contains four sash windows, two with square heads and two with semi-circular heads. A flat band runs between the ground floor and first floor, and there is a moulded, chamfered string course between the second and third floors. The building is finished with a dentilled stone eaves course and rusticated stone quoins. The interior has not been inspected.
