Description

Rose Cottage is a house dating from the 17th century, with alterations made in the 18th century. It is constructed of regular coursed ironstone rubble with a Welsh slate roof and a brick ridge stack. The house is single storey with an attic, and has a three-window facade. The entrance, on the left side, features a part-glazed panelled door with a wooden lintel. To the right of the entrance are renewed casement windows, also with wooden lintels. Three renewed casement windows are located in the attic. Steps lead to the entrance. A plinth runs along the base of the building. The right end of the house has a painted three-light wooden mullioned window, with a matching three-light casement window above, both with wooden lintels. The interior has not been inspected. The building is included on the list for its group value.
